Vicodin

Vicodin is a widely prescribed pain medication that combines hydrocodone with acetaminophen. It is commonly used to relieve moderate to moderately severe pain, such as after surgery or injury. Vicodin works by blocking pain signals in the brain while also reducing inflammation through the acetaminophen component.

Lortab

Lortab is another brand-name drug that also contains hydrocodone and acetaminophen, similar to Vicodin. It is available in tablet and liquid form and is frequently prescribed for short-term pain relief.

Norco

Norco is a newer formulation of hydrocodone and acetaminophen that is often preferred because it typically contains less acetaminophen per dose compared to older medications like Vicodin. This lowers the risk of liver toxicity, especially for patients needing longer-term pain control. Norco is used to treat various types of pain, including dental pain, post-operative discomfort, or injury-related pain.
